As a lifelong eczema patient, I am acutely aware of the items I put on my skin. Not because I want to, but because I have to. In searching for a new product that could keep my eczema at bay, I stumbled upon a body scrub, a moisturizer and exfoliator in one, to help shed my dry skin and deeply moisturize what’s left.

I was ecstatic and bought five different brands from Amazon as a loyal shopper. My excitement soon faded after realizing what I had purchased: straight-up junk. Synthetic fragrances that smelled like my great-grandmother’s perfume, the kind I knew would cause a breakout. Slimy, goopy, greasy textures that I wanted nowhere near my skin.

As the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention, and I went all in. I wanted a brand that was proudly manufactured locally, by hand, with natural ingredients you could pronounce, in scents that agreed with my skin.
